« Planning for disaster | Main | IMAO's Lessons from Katrina »

September 02, 2005

From the interviews and articles that I have seen, it seems that the majority is more upset that while the people on the scene are working themselves to death, the cogs of beauracracy are spending as much time patting themselves on the back as actually helping.

You can never plan perfectly for a disaster, and some people will never be happy, but I do understand some of the complaints.

Another problem is perception. People need to 'see' our leaders working...not going to comedies on Broadway, or giving 'townhall' meetings in California.

There certainly is a perception problem, but I am not sure if it justifies the intencity of the vitriol.

That could be true. It is definitely coming from all sides though, liberal and conservative.
