What a delightful post, Jim. A good meal is something I always enjoy when I am in Spain and something I always miss when I return to the States. "Eating well" means "living well" for the Spaniards. There is nothing like sitting at an outdoor cafe in Spain and enjoying thinly sliced pieces of cured ham and red wine.

I agree, well written.

Now can I give you a hard time about maybe watching too much Martha Stewart or Queer Eye?

You have to enjoy a blog that discusses how to field strip an M-16 and put on the proper dinner party.

Martha and Queer Eye have nothing to do with it. I've been a total glutton since 3rd grade, a consequence of living in a family of good cooks.

Aaron, that was one of the things I loved about Spain. One could hardly walk a block in Barcelona without coming across a nice little cafe or bakery. Oh, the bread... SOOOO GOOOOD!
